Help Reduce waste with Banff Borrows
Banff, located in Canada’s first National Park, is proud to announce the launch of "Banff Borrows," a reusable cup program aimed at reducing single-use waste that goes to landfill. Banff Borrows allows visitors and residents to borrow reusable cups from participating locations for up to 30 days at no cost. Be part of the solution, choose to reuse.
Throughout the world,
1 Million single-use coffee cups
are sent to landfill every minute.
In Canada,
1.5 Billion disposable hot drink cups
are discarded annually
In 2023, a waste audit was conducted on Banff Avenue in high season.
It was found that:
1000+ coffee cups per day
are disposed of in public bins
